UnderWaters the Documentary -
Saving the Ocean's Coral Reefs
This stunning 50 minute documentary, filled with spectacular underwater & drone footage, as well as thought provoking interviews, was filmed on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawai'i
during the pandemic. A group of scientists, activists & attorneys took the County of Maui
to the State Court, and then the Supreme Court, to fight for the human wastewater to stop
destroying the ocean's coral reefs. They were victorious but the battle is not over as the
solution is still pending. The hearing for the permit approval to redirect the wastewater
has been postponed several times and is currently scheduled for December, 2026.
Learn how across the country, the Clean Water Act of the 70's has been ignored for decades
and finally is about to be enforced. Also discover the solutions that will hopefully save the
coral reefs and our planet's delicate ecosystems before it is too late. Be inspired and awed
as you witness interviews with the ocean activist trailblazers, the Hawaiian cultural experts,
pro ocean athletes and the scientific facts
